What a lot of girls we’ve had in our home studio lately! There must be something in the water. Isn’t she just adorable?!And a great little sleeper which allowed us to try lots of new props.
I think it’s pretty easy to see why we loved photographing this little girl. Although she had been very premature and had a tough start to life she was one of our easiest babies to photograph yet. She drifted in and out of sleep and was very patient as we fussed around her.
This little girl has such an easy smile and happy demeanor! It makes for a very enjoyable morning to capture her enjoyment for life and to take pleasure in watching the parent’s love for the newest member of their family.
This utterly adorable little girl was lovely to photograph. She drifted in and out of sleep and when she was awake she had the most gorgeous expressions.
Double the love, double the fun, double the cuteness. These beautiful boys couldn’t have been sweeter when they came for their shoot.
This year we participated in Happy Faces Day for the first time. It’s a charitable initiative and it takes place in April every year. Since it first launched in 2006, IPPA Happy Faces has raised almost €280,000 for its chosen charities and each year, the IPPA members all over Ireland donate their time, skills and materials for the benefit of Irish charities. The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, who provide home nursing care for babies & children up to the age of 4 who are born with, or develop, brain damage, is their charity of the year for 2012. 100% of the proceeds (not just profits) will benefit The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, and all costs are met by the participating members and by our generous sponsors, Canon.
Canon have also sponsored a portrait award competition where photographers are invited to submit some of the images taken during their happy faces day event to be in to win some excellent Canon products. We attended the Killiney Castle Hotel and were thrilled to see that two of our images had made it to the top 10 shortlisted portraits. We were so proud to get the runners up prize for the image directly below.
Sometimes you don’t need the whole picture to get the whole picture. This first picture tells more than is possible with a description. What a lovely time we had with this adorable 18 month old girl who loved to dress up and play.
and still gorgeous!! Remember this cute little face from about a year ago? Well she came back and this time brought her equally gorgeous little brother whom she showered with kisses. What a great big sister she makes at only one and a half!
They also brought along their grandparents who were terrifc to photograph. Must be in the genes

Being a good model must run in the family. We took photographs of this little sweetie’s older sister a couple of years ago and she was just as fabulous as he was. It was also really nice to catch up on all the chat with their lovely mum.
Three months is such a great age and this little man had the most infectous happy grin you could imagine. The cute teddy hat he’s wearing in this first picture is his own and I love his amber teething bracelet too.
Before a session we like to plan what we might do if the baby is a sleeper, or maybe a smiler, or has bright eyes and cute expressions but we rarely expect one baby to be able to do all these things! This little girl was utterly beautiful which is hardly surprising considering her gorgeous parents.
‘Ok ladies, I’ve got some other cute things to do. You’ll have to finish up now.’
Not only was this beautiful 9 month old an expert at personal training and being utterly adorable and having the prettiest eyelashes ever but she was also such a great smiler for the camera. Well, you get the picture, we were both smitten by her.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a newborn with quite so much beautiful hair. Well, that is until her mum showed me a picture of herself at the same age
We love to have returning clients as it gives us a chance to see how much these gorgeous babies we photograph have grown and changed. This little boy came to us 20 months ago and now has grown into such a handsome little boy and proud brother to his baby sister. He has also developed a healthy interest in all toys with wheels. He was so gentle and patient with his little sister while they were having their sibling shots!
This beautiful girl came for a quick visit but we fell in love with her sweet nature and her clear eyed gaze.
A collection of all our clients this year. Happy new year everyone. We hope 2012 brings you all the happiness you could wish for.
We had a lovely morning with this little girl and her parents. Like lots of newborn girls she was very alert and interested in what was going on around her but we managed to get some sleepy shots along with the eyes open ones. Doesn’t she have the prettiest face?!
This gorgeous 10 month old boy was a delight. From his little dimpled hands to his new teeth just pushing through. I always think that the end of the first year is such an exciting time for a baby. Between learning to crawl and understanding more words to learning how to clap and wave. Such huge milestones and each day seems to bring something new.
What a lovely session to end the year on. This 15 day old boy was a dream newborn and this smile caught by both of us at the same time from different angles was just a really nice serendipitous moment.
We wanted to take a picture with the theme ‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse’ and I think you’ll agree that baby H played his part very well
So on that note Merry Christmas everyone and especially to all our great newborns, babies, older siblings and their parents that we’ve met during the year. Each and every one of you have brought something special into both our lives. Nicole and Lynn xx
We are so happy this family of four chose us for their family photographs. Two year olds can sometimes be tricky in a studio setting because they are so interested in exploring everything around them but this older sister was an absolute dream and smiled and dressed up in a tutu and pearls and smiled some more. She was also so sweet and loving towards her sister it was a joy to watch. Her little sister must have already picked up on her older sister’s happy nature because she was also one of our easiest newborns to date and would artfully arrange her hands in the sweetest positions.
p.s. Isn’t this yawn intectious?
This little 9 month old girl was just the cutest baby ever. She wasn’t fazed by the camera a bit and gave us lots of the sweetest smiles. We just adored her her little ballet outfit!
Isn’t that the cutest little boy smile you ever saw? We photographed this little boy a year ago and it was lovely to see him again and to meet his new little brother!
How sweet this little girl was. With three older siblings she was well used to being bustled about from one comfy spot to another.
For this much cuteness? This 11 week old girl was as pretty as could be and not only did she give us lots of bright eyed smiles but also drifted off to sleep and gave us one of our favourite shots to date. This first one turns me to mush.
The morning we spent with this family was all about love and laughter. When you have a couple who love to make each other laugh you can only imagine what a fun filled life their children will have! Hasn’t she got the most infectious smile?!
When a new baby is born in the family we flock to shops to find the softest blankets and the fluffiest toys that will make the perfect gift. Here are two such presents bought by the family that suited this beautiful little girl perfectly.
For the first time, we entered our work in the ‘Irish Professional Photographers Association’ awards. We entered 11 images and we feel so honoured that each one won Silver or above. But the best news of all was when we learned that we had been awarded two Diamond crests which is the highest accolade given. Here are the award winning images. Thank you to all the fabulous babies and children that were such great models for us!
How nice that baby ‘A’ smiled when wrapped in the first thing I have knitted since the late 80′s. But seriously this little boy couldn’t have been sweeter. We always feel so happy to be able to share one of the first days of a baby’s life and each and every baby melts our heart a little.
I think this little girl must have been in training for our photo session. She was a newborn photographer’s dream sleeping soundly as we gently moved her from one position to the next. Even artfully arranging her own hands into beautiful positions. We just kept looking at each other open mouthed not able to believe our luck.
Much as we adore taking newborn pictures there is something so lovely about the pudgy cheeked beauty of an older baby that melts our heart. This calm little girl alternated between smiles and sleep. What more could you ask for from a model?
We always feel very honoured when we are asked by previous clients to capture another stage in their child’s life. We photographed this little girl when she was just a newborn and now she is one. This time she brought along with her some of her extended family including her older cousin who doted on her and whom she adored.
As she had just learned to walk we were very excited to get some pictures of her practicing her new skill.
Did you ever see such a clear eyed gaze from a baby so young? We LOVED photographing this gorgeous little girl and were so happy to get lots of open eyed shots too.
It is always a privilege when we are asked to photograph a families newest addition but for the session to be the first trip out as a family made it all the more special. How safe and comfortable she looked snuggled in her parent’s arms. A truly lovely family to have had the opportunity to spend time with.
Welcome to our shiny new blog. We have had such a busy time recently with all these beautiful babies that we are only now getting the chance to set up a blog. Please take the time to have a look at just some of the 100+ babies that we have had the pleasure of photographing in our studio in the past 18 months.
